Media interest: There have been several media reports on SFI CASA lately.

Visibility: While the University Paper reported on the excellent results from the Midway evaluation, local papers Sunnmørsposten and Adresseavisen have interviewed PhD candidate Karoline Osnes on her work on the behaviour of monolithic and laminated glass under extreme loading.

«Glass is interesting. It demolishes brutally. So far, there has been little research on the mechanical behaviour of glass under extreme loads. When we know more, vi can design safer glass components that are more able to withstand, for instance, explosions», she tells Adresseavisen.

Bjørn Håkon Frodal and Emil Christiansen both defended their theses in October. The research magazine Gemini published a joint article from CASA on their research. The news page ABCnyheter.no republished this story.
